Bentley is a Harry Colt design revised by Henry Cotton, a mature parkland course with tree-lined fairways, water hazards and some of the best bunkering in Essex. The course is always in superb nick and the greens run fast and true.
The 17th is a standout par-4 with out-of-bounds all down the right. The clubhouse is welcoming with good food and a well-stocked pro shop.
